A very pleasurable Gran Corona and my favorite Coronas Gorda on the market at the moment. At its best in the summer, due to its light fresh fruity nature. This is an easy, `cool' cigar, I find them ideal for the golf course or a fishing trip with friends. The subtlety of the flavors renders the whole smoking experience a kin to a private conversation with a good friend.

Like his bigger brother the No.1, this Robusto is fresh and perfectly suited to the new model aficionado who enjoys his smoke in the great outdoors as opposed to being locked away in a dimly lit smoking club. A great treat during the day or with a cold beer at apéritif. Tasty and smooth. Like a fruit
smoothie!

A modern Churchill. Exciting, fresh and elegant. From the start the full rounded flavors will warm your insides and send you into a trance of well being. I absolutely love these respectable Churchills and keep them for my weekend treat! Easy in its development of spicy, leafy savors, whilst never being aggressive, the second phase evolves into an exploration of beaten leather and caramel. A very exciting Churchill, constructed to act the part.

This guy is dressed in a maduro coating and is seductive, smooth and full of rich floral flavors, peppermint being the most prominent. As the smoke continues hints of precious wood develop into a startling blend of exoticness, complexity and balance. I see myself smoking this classic cigar sitting beside a giant bonfire observing the flicker of the flames, contentedly listening to the crackle of the burning wood.

Love at first sight. The beauty of the stick, is matched by it's paradisiacal even roundness in the smoke. The Hoyo sweet tastes (crushed cacao/coffee, Moroccan leather), give this cigar a childish naughtiness character. This is a smoke full of prestige and smooth class. I would recommend this cigar at any time of the day, but then again, I cannot get enough of them.

Smoke me slow! Seductive, smooth and full of rich floral flavors this cigar has the exact dimensions of the Especial Montecristo No.2. An excellent smoke, but unfairly unappreciated by the connoisseur, Du Dauphin has the reputation of being too woody and more suited to an experienced palate. I think its mix of sweet, subtle flavors and its woody after taste have their place in the grand scheme of things. A fast burn means that soft and irregular draws are best to express the greater qualities of this cigar. Not for beginners.

What is that in your pocket? Du Député is small and good-looking. Inside his belly he has a mixed assortment of honeyed spices and floral aromas. What I like about this cigar is his stocky and discrete build matched with his ubiquitous nature being both a lively daytime smoke and a virile nighttime smoke as well. All that in a pocket sized package!

A lovely, slender smoke for the cultured palate. Sweet aromas steadily become progressively stronger in the second and third phases. A friendly challenge to the experienced smoker. I find this a nice easy daytime cigar, not too complicated or strong.

My favorite in the `Du' series because of its unique dimensions! This Petit Corona is a veritable pleasure on the palate, making for an easy smoke. It is sweet like all the other Hoyos with a peppery character yet without being boisterous which makes it ideal for an end of the afternoon reward. The construction is outstanding leading to perfect oxygenation and ventilation. Du Prince retains the common Hoyo trait of the quick burn making concentration on the smoke obligatory.

Crisp and clean lines! Classic Havana flavors embody this cigar. Its earthy notes further enrich the chocolate and vanilla flavors and make for a most enjoyable after lunch smoke. This cigar tastes of Havana! I think of this cigar as nostalgia in a blend. Be careful of that quick constant smoke!
